Outline of the Printer
Control System
○Purpose : Here, you will have an overview of the printer control system while
learning about the components of the system and their
specifications.
1.
Outline
The machine’s printer control system is the
brain of the printer unit, executing various printing operations in response to
commands from the main controller.
Printing operation is under the control of the DC controller; when a print command arrives from the main controller, the DC controller drives the motors and solenoids as well as high-voltage loads to form images on paper as dictated by video signals.
The printer control system also serves to convert AC power from an outside source into DC power for supply to various loads.
The following is a block diagram of the printer control system:

2. Compatibility
There are 2 types of DC controller PCBs to
suit the iR2270/2870 Series and the iR3570/4570 Series, and there is no
compatibility between these DC controller PCBs.
3. Specifications of the Printer Control
